Have you really ever thought about how much credit your bed sheets should get for what they do for you? After all you are going to be sleeping on them 365 times give or take some times for vacation… Maybe more if you take naps, maybe less if you travel.

The first thing that you have to look at is the size of your mattress… if you have a standard mattress then you will have no problem finding sheets. These days though there is a great choice of different mattresses that are not the standard size. Getting custom sheets will not be a big deal, but you should be ready to put out more money for them.

Cotton Bed Sheets: Cotton is the most affordable and definitely the most used of all bedding, but not necessarily the best. However, they do not breathe as well and you can get over hot in them, compared to more luxury sheets. Even though cotton won’t feel as good as other bedding fabrics, try to get a 400 or greater thread count so you can ensure softness.

Satin Sheets: Satin sheets are luxury sheets, but without the big price tag that comes with other luxury sheets. However, there are some rules and things to know if you are going to get some good satin sheets. The quality is a big deal with satin sheets because there are a ton of really bad sheets out there so don’t go too cheap. They can also be really slippery so make sure you like that feeling.

Silk Bed Sheets: Silk is far and away the best type of bedding you can get in my opinion along with bamboo sheets. When getting silk bedding, buy 100% mulberry silk, not any other because most other silk bedding is a silk blend… silk blends lose their amazing benefits. Silk bedding can breath very well and can keep you warm in the cold and cold in the warmth.

Don’t worry about the cost of silk because it will last so you, you will definitely get your money’s worth!
